The ISA428 MKII by Focusrite has four transformer-based microphone preamplifiers with the same classic audio quality as the original 1985 model. It features a switchable impedance, instrument inputs and an optional 8-channel AD/DA converter, along with four ISA series preamplifiers. These preamps are studio standards and are popular with many top producers for their clear, warm sound. The ISA428 MKII is also equipped with four Hi-Z instrument inputs, which you can find on the front.
The four microphone inputs are located on the back of the device, and are equipped with a variable high-pass filter, as well as 48V phantom power for use with condenser microphones. There's also an accurate LED VU meter on the front for each channel.
This four-channel preamplifier and AD/DA converter is the ideal partner for every producer and is an excellent choice for studio or live applications that require high-quality preamplification of instruments or microphones.

4 toppreamps in een toestel! Preamps klinken zeer clean, zelfs bij veel gain. Ik gebruik ze voor spoken word opnames in projectstudio (radioreclame, VO,...) en daarvoor is het echt een geweldig toestel. Kost even wat, maar dan heb je wel 4 kraakheldere preamps. Al kan ik me voorstellen dat niet iedereen fan is van de 'cleane' sound.
