The Ibanez SR705 TK is a 5-string electric bass guitar that produces a full and detailed sound, thanks to the combination of a mahogany body and a maple top. Its black transparent lacquer gives the SR705 TK an appealing appearance and makes sure that the wood structure remains visible. With its integrated electronics you can adapt the sound of the bass completely to your liking. Despite its five strings, the smooth neck of the SR705 is still rather slim which allows you to quickly catch the right tone and makes it very comfortable to play.
SR705 TK: Wood types
The SR705 TK is made of different types of wood that create a balanced sound. For instance, the slim and compact body with double cutaway is made of mahogany which gives the bass a beautiful, full sound with a rich mid and a deep low. The top is made of maple that provides you with a bright, direct and tight edge. The bass has a slim SR5 bolt-on neck and is made of 5 parts of Jatoba and Bubinga wood, which will make sure that the neck won't break easily. The rosewood fretboard has 24 frets and is decorated with great-looking oval inlays with abalone pearloid.
Bartolini hardware
This electric bass is equipped with two Bartolini MK1 pickups with split-coil design which suppresses humming and noise. It also provides more low and a nice attack so that every subtle tone you play is accurately reproduced. You can seamlessly adjust the mix between the neck and bridge pickup by means of the balance button. The total sound can be adjusted via the Bartolini EQB-IIIS. There is also an active 3-band equalizer with switch for an alternative mid-frequency range.
