The innovative Tascam comes up with a great solution for any recording application. The DR-60D is the answer to your DSLR needs, providing you with a fixed recording point that also serves as a mixer. The built-in recorder makes high-quality recordings of up to 96 kHz.
Technology of the DR-60D
The DR-60D is equipped with a built-in shoe camera mount, which allows you to mount it on most DSLR accessories. The Tascam recorder can also serve as a desktop device, which is particularly handy during meetings, etc. A built-in SD card slot provides you with storage of up to 32 GB (SDHC) and it is possible to record two stereo channels. Phantom power for condenser microphones is supplied, so this practical recorder allows for a wide range of applications.
Use and connectors
The DR-60D features a nice selection of connectors, offering you a choice of XLR, 6.35mm jack and 3.5mm jack for various audio sources. Signal levels can be controlled per two channels, while a practical display keeps you informed of the input level at all times.

Moeilijk leverbaar blijkbaar (ik had de eerste en meteen de laatste, denk ik) want de levertijd staat nu weer op 6 weken.
Grote pluspunt van deze recorder is de formfactor. Hij past uitermate goed op een DSL-rig. Ietwat aan de zware kant, maar dat nadeel weegt op tegen de ruime keuze aan aansluitingen en de hardwarematige bedieningsknoppen.
Nadeeltje van de ingansniveauregelaars is dat deze stapsgewijs werken, dus geen vloeiende curve. Niet de potmeters zelf, maar de electronica erachter. Geluidskwaliteit is top.
Punt van aandacht is het noodzakelijke fine-tunen tussen camera-UIT signaal van de DR-60D en de ingang van de Canon EOS 5D Mark III, want slechts op 1 specifieke stand is de ruisdrempel acceptabel. Daaronder of daarboven ontstaat er spontaan een hoorbare ruis. Ik hoop dat een firmware-update van de Canon dat wellicht verhelpt.
Uitgangsvolume van hoofdtelefoonaansluiting is bijzonder stevig (plus!).
Tip: bestel meteen wat extra korte mini-jackmini-jack (3,5mm) kabeltjes mee, want die heb je zeker een aantal nodig.
