Are you looking for a super quiet, dynamic, versatile delay pedal? Then the VOX Time Machine is just the thing for you. This double delay pedal was designed following the specifications of guitar virtuoso Joe Satriani, and as such it delivers a broad scale of sound while remaining quite easy to use. Along with Satriani's delay, the VOX Time machine also offers plenty of options for creating new sounds.
Double delay mode for any situation
The Time Machine has been equipped with a Tap Tempo switch for the exact adjustment of delay speed. When you hold the button down, it switches between Modern and Vintage modes. The Modern mode keeps the sound just as bright and sparkling as your original signal, while the Vintage mode simulates the warm analogue sound of a classic band echo. Additionally, a subtle modulation provides the wave effect that is typical of band echos.
Versatile and user-friendly
The D.Range knob allows you to choose a delay time of 125, 250, 500 and 1,000 milliseconds. Furthermore, you can use the Tap Tempo to expand those times by 30 milliseconds, up to almost a full six seconds. A Hi-Hi-fi/Lo-Lo-fi switch makes it easy to filter the high and low frequencies. Moreover, the chicken head knobs give the pedal a cool, vintage look and are ideal for great visibility on a dark stage. Finally, VOX equipped the Time Machine with a Dry and a Wet output for an even broader sound.

Dit apparaat doet meer dan verwacht en oogt ook heel mooi. Het is niet 'zomaar' een delay! Proficiat VOX.

Tot nu toe is elk Vox Satriani effect wat ik geprobeerd heb het geld meer dan waard, en zo ook weer met dit effect.
De Time Machine is een hele veelzijdige Delay, aangezien je eigenlijk 2 Delay pedalen in een behuizing krijgt. Een modern delay, en een Vintage delay die het geluid van een oude tape-delay nabootst. Daarnaast is er ook nog te switchen tussen Hi- en Lo-Fi, dus in totaal kun je 4 verschillende combinaties maken
Erg handig is ook de tap-tempo knop. Zo kun je voor elk nummer de delay instellen door simpel mee te 'tappen' met de muziek. (ook handig voor live gebruik)
Wat ik ook altijd erg interessant vind aan de Vox satriani effect series is de meegeleverde handleiding, met een aantal presets die Satriani zelf gebruikt.
De hele behuizing is erg stevig, en er zitten grote duidelijke knoppen op. Zodra je van modern naar vintage gaat veranderd de kleur van het linker lampje van groen naar rood, zodat het altijd duidelijk is in welke mode de delay staat.
