Built to encompass the three classic ages of delay, The Difference Engine delay emulator spans the analogue, the digital, and the dynamic. Part of the Black Country Custom Series, this Laney offering features a potent processor that's able to weave together the sonic characteristics of each delay type to breed entirely new and never-heard-before delay-based beasts. Everything is navigated via a clear 2.42 inch OLED display screen, and loaded into the menu, you'll already find fifty artist-made patches pre-configured by names like Tony Iommi, Lari Basilio, Tom Quayle, Martin Miller, Billy Duffy, Alex Hutchings, Vernon Reid and more.

This expansive, forward-thinking stompbox is easily integrated into any live rig or studio setup and provides both stereo inputs and outputs for the purpose. It also offers MIDI functionality on the side, and by adding an expression pedal (not included), parameters can be tweaked and warped hands-free and in real-time. Designed and built by Laney in the United Kingdom, The Difference Engine simply guarantees superior-grade sound and superior-grade performance.
