The Ahead BamStix Light are percussion rutes made of bamboo. Bamboo is highly flexible, making these rutes very well suited for use with a drum kit, cajon, cajinto, wood block or virtually any other kind of percussion instrument. Many drummers, of varying degrees of fame, have already praised the Ahead BamStix for their versatility. This particular model is a pair of heavy rods, meaning they're well suited for heavier rock ballads.

Mijn eerste rods in 40 jaar .... ;)
Kwalitatief goeie dingen, al vlogen de kleine rubber ringen na ca. 15 minuten spelen weg. (Ductape!) De handvatten zijn overigens NIET van rubber maar hard PLASTIC.

Met band en akoestische drums uitgeprobeerd in de repetitieruimte: iedereen blij want minder drumvolume waardoor makkelijker een fijne balans onderling is te krijgen.
Thuis op de digi Roland: niet gebruiken want drumtechnisch komt het maar zeer vaag in de buurt van met sticks spelen.
Dus - door de dikte en afwijkende rebound van de rods is goed spelen drumtechnisch een stuk beperkter, maar met repeteren wel door iedereen gewaardeerd qua volume.

Aangezien we live meestal op festvals en redelijke podia spelen blijven de rods dan weer thuis ... ;-)
