As the successor to the Metalworks series, the Soundworks series could not do without a steel snare drum. The Tama DST1055M Soundworks 10 x 5.5" Steel snare drum has a 1.2mm-thick shell, and its modest dimensions make it an ideal side snare. With a powerful, cutting sound, this steel snare is great for use during live performances. Furthermore, the shell is fitted with triple-flanged hoops that allow for easier rimhots. Finally, this particular model comes with an MC69 tom holder that you can use to easily attach this snare to any stand.
