The 3mm thick steel shell is armoured with a layer of diamond plate and measures 14 by 6.5-inches, so it can be seen as a fairly standard sized snare. In terms of sound, this snare projects with formidable attack supported an incredibly fat low-end, which is definitely owed in part to the galvanised Tama Die-Cast tension hoops, and the snare-strainer switches off with a smooth action, so that you can achieve that renowned Ulrich sound.
