Compiled for hard-working drummers in need of a more compact setup, the Mapex Mars Maple four-piece shell set comes in a tight Bebop configuration, reducing the weight, saving precious stage-space and finishing your kit with focussed sound. The kick drum is just 14 inches deep and has an 18 inch diameter but, while the format is as small as it can get, these drums still bring the power and presence thanks to the seven-ply, 7.3 millimetre thick European maple shell walls. This construction ensures a supple, warm and defined response that can be tuned up to support virtually any genre and playing style. Each shell also comes finished with SONIClear bearing edges and Remo drumheads; the rack toms are mounted via the acclaimed SONIClear Suspension System; and the kick drum has been furnished with a set of isolated claws, all to guarantee maximised resonance and quality of sound.
