Just like the Cre8audio East Beast that came before it, the West Pest is another flexible synth developed in collaboration with Pittsburgh Modular Synthesizers. Both the idea behind these synths and their form-factor are basically the same, meaning you're looking at a standalone desktop module that can also serve as a Eurorack module. So what can it do, you ask? Technically speaking, the West Pest is a sound engine, which is basically an extensive kind of frequency-modulating oscillator that can send any sound you're sculpting to a wave-shaper for a little trimming and contouring, and/or to the dynamics controller to add that famed West Coast sound. A step-sequencer and an LFO come built in to give you even more options, and Cre8audio thoughtfully throw in a bag of Nazca Noodle patch cables plus a DIN-MIDI break-out cable so you can essentially transform the West Pest into a completely different synth.

Ik heb de West Pest helaas terug moeten sturen ivm defect.
Maar..
Wat veel bang for the buck, klinkt echt profi, geen wiebelende knoppen. in je rack te bouwen.
Veel patching mogelijkheden. Ik heb nu de Niftykeyz van cre8audio en ze zijn goed bezig. Nu ik weet dat er en nieuwe programmer aan het werk is en alle kleine bugs wegwerkt en ik weet dat als iets kapot is het gewoon hier in europa gemaakt kan worden is een fijn idee! Top ding, wel iets van leercurve met het binaire gebruik van het menu
Geweldige aanvulling op mijn semi-modulaire setup. Geeft een uniek palet aan geluiden met de wavefolder en heeft zeker voldoende patchpunten om op zichzelf lekker loos te gaan of te vrbinden met andere (semi)modulaire toestellen. Zacht prijsje ook, ik had er nog eens 7% extra korting op, die ik eerst niet toegepast had, maar nadien alsnog kreeg van de klantendienst, dus dat is ook top bij Bax!

J’avais vu des démos avant mon achat, mais ne m’attendais pas à 68 ans à avoir encore la chance de flirter à nouveau avec le bonheur ! Cette petite merveille me fait oublier pour l’instant depuis mon adoption, mes autres machines !!!
Ce Synthé desktop est capable de m’emmener vers l’infini, tellement les possibilités de créations sonores sont nombreuses, je passe d’un son bien gras (sans cholestérol !) à l’expérimental à la vitesses du son ! C’est à présent devenu ma thérapie, celle qui le fait voyager dans des univers sonores inconnus pour moi, jusqu’à présent…
