- Boss WL-60 Wireless System for Electronic Instruments
Boss WL-60 Wireless System for Electronic Instruments
Descrizione
The plug-and-play design of the Boss WL-60 wireless pack opens up near latency-free wireless performance and offers smooth ease of use. At 2.3 milliseconds, the signal delay is barely detectable while this system is optimised for transferring your guitar sound with outstanding purity. While electric guitarists will certainly get what they want in this pack, bassists and other musicians will be more than able to enjoy the freedom of movement that it has to offer. Simply link your electronic instrument up using the provided jack port on the bodypack transmitter and hook it onto your belt.
The WL-60: Fast, Clear, and Easy
Once your beltpack transmitter is connected to your instrument, you need only hit the Scan button and the Boss receiver will flick through 14 possible channels before displaying the optimum selection, signal strength, and other useful information on the fitted LCD screen. Select the best channel and the system will link up, and you can start performing cable-free. In terms of freedom of movement, you get around 20 metres of range between the transmitter and receiver, but it's worth making sure that, when more than one band member is using this system, you avoid interference by using different channels.
A Compact Pedal-Format and Cable Simulation
Since the receiver has been given a classic Boss pedal-sized housing, it can even be slotted neatly onto your pedalboard. And, if you're instrument is mounted with passive pickups, this helpful system offers two flavours of cable simulation so you can get that high-grade signal quality you would get with a fixed guitar cable. Of course, if you're using an active preamp or pickups, this function can simply be switched off. To finish, Boss have even given the receiver the ability to pass power onto other, less demanding mA pedals with the use of a daisychain (not included).

Le système à l'air de fonctionner correctement. Je l'ai seulement utilisé sur un concert au milieu de plusieurs systèmes hf. L'émetteur en plastique semble fragile. A voir à l'usage.

I'm going to start with the Pros:
Firstly the Receiver and Transmitter both looks great (the only issue is, being from Boss I would prefer if they were metal not plastic, but that is not really a concern).
The receiver is a compact size and runs off 9V, so it is great for pedalboards. The display is easy to read and has everything you need plus the functions are easy to understand. I also like the options that you can quickly plug a guitar lead into it, if the wireless goes down or you run out of battery life on the transmitter (Although the battery life does seem very good and there is a bar on the receiver which displays it).
The Transmitter is a great size and very light plus is very simple to use. But the attachment for a guitar strap or belt, isn't the best and is a bit thin, although you can easier find a way around this.
The actual sound was really amazing (much better than my current wireless system and more like being plugged directly in to an amp). Also the response time is super quick (I know its only Millisecond compared to my currently wireless system but I could really notice it).
Ok now for the Cons:
There was only one major issue I had with this wireless system and I really hate to say so because I really wanted it to work due to all the features and ease of use etc.
I found that I just couldn't get a good wireless range. I only got 5-10 meters away before the sound would start breaking up or stop (much less than stated) and no good for what I need.
I did try many different things to hopefully solve this issue including: Scanning and selecting different channels. Moving the location of the receiver and transmitter. Testing in a completely open space. Using different equipment/no other equipment. Turning off electronic equipment tec, and many more things.
But unfortunately nothing worked. So because of this I had to return the item.
Although Bax Music were fantastic and made the process of returning very easy and simple. Great Customer service I would Definitely recommend them.
One further point I would like to make is by doing research. I have found that many people have no issues with this item and find that it works great. So maybe for some people it is worth given a go. This is just my own experience.
