Descrizione
The DVA S10 by dB Technologies is an active subwoofer with bandpass housing. This powerful subwoofer has a maximum sound pressure of 136 dB (SPL), along with a frequency range of 40 to 120 Hz, so you can enjoy rich, deep intonation. The intonation is provided by the 18-inch neodymium woofer with 4-inch voice coil. Furthermore, the cabinet sends the sound out omnidirectionally, so it is spread out over your entire audience. The DVA S10 delivers powerful bass and is great for use on larger stages at festivals and concerts, for example.
Amplification and connections
The DVA S10 is supported by a digital class D Digipro amplifier, which has 1,000 watts RMS of power with convection cooling. It also has a crossover frequency of 120 Hz. Additionally, the subwoofer has a cardiod option through the middle, whereby you can add an SDD delay module, also available from dB Technologies. With this module, you're able to set a delay for when you've got multiple DVA S10 subwoofers connected together via XLR cables. Such a delay can be used to avoid timing problems, so all subwoofers produce that same sound at the same time. (This is only an issue when using more than two subwoofers.) Furthermore, the subwoofer features RMS, peak and thermal limiters to protect your DVA S10 from internal damage.
XLR, powerCon and setup
Sound is brought to the SVA S10 via an XLR input, and the subwoofer additionally has a regular XLR output and a crossover XLR output for switching to other subwoofers. The subwoofer receives its power by way of a powerCon input, and it has an additional powerCon output so you can connect additional power lines. On the top you'll find an M20 pole mount that can be used for adding distance rods for speakers, for example. On the right side you'll find three handles, and you have the option of adding four wheels (sold separately) to the bottom for easy transport. With the help of an SRK-10 hardware set, you can also suspend the sub from a sturdy truss to provide more room on stage.

De DVA S10, voorheen had ik sub 15 D's en nu heb ik deze. Een wereld van verschil is het!
Niet voor niets wordt hij gebruikt op grote toepassingen en evenementen!
Positief aan de sub is toch wel :
+ de geluidsdruk
+ hoog spl
+ licht in gewicht
+ makkelijk monteerbare wielen
+ ...
Desondanks deze vele pluspunten heb ik toch een aantal negatieve punten aan te merken.

- lak die makkelijk krassen geeft
Verder heeft de sub maar 1 ingang die dan ook gecross overd wordt voor de uitgaande top , er is wel nog een output , maar die is dan niet gecross overd , en dat is wel jammer als je maar in het bezit bent van voorlopig 1 sub.
Over de klankt , de klank klinkt zeer warm , maar toch geeft het een zeer punchy bass (voelbaar ook). Wel is er veel resonantie, maar dat ligt ook aan het type kast van de S10. De sub wordt van achter een beetje warm na intensief gebruik maar tot op heden geen problemen gehad met overhitting / fouten ,...
Kortom , ik ga sparen voor de 2 de sub , en later zeker eens overwegen icm de nieuwe 21 ich sub of de DVA S09 er boven op , dan bekom je ongeveer de oude fifty line reeks , welke ook zeer strak klonk !
