Equipped with a tight set of twenty-five mini-keys, this is the smallest edition of the Launchkey MK4. Here Novation has managed to squeeze in the playability and the control, so alongside a keyboard, you get the full control gambit, including faders, encoders, performance pads and a complete transport section, all while keeping things compact, portable and complete. Basically, this model comes fully kitted out for travelling writers and producers in need of a faster workflow, free of the mouse and keyboard.

The Fourth Generation Novation Launchkey

The Novation Launchkey MK4 doesn't just come with a bank of pads to support clip triggering in performance-based software like Ableton Live, but gives you a bank of sixteen pads, all backed up by polyphonic aftertouch for even bigger and even more dynamic expression. This time around, you also get a fully up-to date and razor-sharp OLED screen, which displays your encoder values in real-time and can also take you through the scales and chords of a specific key, helping out those writers and producers with a little less playing experience. The on-board arpeggiator is another nice perk, giving you a playground for trying out ideas and discovering things that you might never have come up with otherwise. And, last but not least, there's the bulging software package that comes included as standard: Ableton Live Lite plus a few virtual instrument packs to get you up and running straight away.
