If you're looking for a fiercely powerful but highly functional amp head suited for smaller gigs, then GRBass ONE 350 might just do it for you. As well as robust, pure bass sounds, any self-respecting bassist still wants an array of practical functions and this head offers both. The GRBass ONE series confirms that founder, Gianfranco Rizzi, is not only a technician but an especially astute musician.
Clean, fast tuning and an array of controls
Once you're plugged in, you can check your tuning with the centred LED-lit tuner before toggling your output with the gain pot on the front panel of the GRBass ONE 350. Don't be afraid to push your overall gain since the VU-meter will make sure there's no unwanted clipping. This head has 2 channels, each with a master volume pot to get your levels just right. Fine tune the result with the potent 4-band equalizer and the two 3-way frequency selector switches that toggle the 'midHIGH' and 'MIDlow', giving you complete control over your base sound. If you're a jobbing musician, flipping through genres on a daily basis, this might just be the little work-horse you need.
Specially designed for diverse bassists
For when you need a more faithful sound, you can bypass the 4-band EQ completely with by flipping the 'Pure' switch. For more highs, hit the 'Bright' switch and throw in more lows with the 'Deep' switch. The ONE 350 also has a DI out with adjustable volume and pre/post switching and the headphone output has it's own volume control. There's also an endlessly useful aux input so you can connect your phone or laptop for solo rehearsals. In the middle of the control panel, is an LED lit tuner to keep you in check and if you want to add an external (max 300 mA) stompbox, jack it through the effects loop or straight into the input and power it via the 9V output on the back.

Niet de goedkoopste versterkers maar zeker niet de duurste. En klinkt fantastisch. Je moet wel van clean geluid houden, hij is ongekleurd. Hou je van buizenwarmte of typische Ampeg low/high scoop dan moet je daarvoor gaan. Maar wil je een cleane power dan is dit voor dit geld de beste (en ik heb ongeveer alles geprobeerd). Vermogen is meer dan genoeg. Ik heb 'm nog nooit meer dan een kwart open gehad. Groot voordeel is ook dat het geluid overeind blijft als je gewoon in de huiskamer zacht speelt. Ander mooie optie is dat je de ventilator uit kan schakelen voor als je in de huiskamer zacht speelt of opnames maakt. DI klinkt ook super, uitstekende opnames richting m'n computer via audiointerface. Ingebouwde tuner is handig. Maar jammer dat er geen tuner uitgang op zit om even m'n Boss TU3 aan te sluiten die ik nog wat sneller en fijner vind. Ook jammer dat de led op het frontpanel enorm fel zijn. Tezamen met de drukke print kan je eigenlijk de bijschriften bij de knoppen niet lezen. Daarom geen 5 sterren. Daar moet GR Bass in een volgende versie wat aan doen. Maar klankmatig maakt 'ie deze praktische puntjes ruimschoots goed.
Ik speel 'm in combinatie met een GrBass CUBE 112H 4 ohm speaker. Ik heb veel speakers geprobeerd. Deze combi was de beste.

Fijne compacte top met een erg fijn clean geluid. Ongekleurd en daarom perfect naar gelang de situatie met of zonder een effectenpedaal ter kleuring te gebruiken. Soms wil ik clean, soms wil ik de buizenkleuring vanuit m'n Eden Glowplug. Het draagt alles met gemak. Zeker met de Cube 112-4 die eraan hangt. Meer dan voldoende vermogen voor mij. Ook in het oefenhok met 4 overige herrieschoppers gaat ie eigenlijk niet harder dan een kwart. DI is van een superkwaliteit m.i. Fijn ook dat de output via DI apart geregeld kan worden. De ingebouwde tuner vind ik net te onnauwkeurig, maar is in nood zeker bruikbaar.
De ledjes aan de voorkant maken het soms net een ouderwetse disco, maar die kunnen gelukkig uit.
Je kunt voor minder(maar ook zeker voor veel meer) geld terecht, dat is zeker. Maar dit setje is zijn geld meer dan waard.
