Built by Koch in the Netherlands, Studiotone guitar amplifiers are driven by a combination of 12AX7 and EL84 tubes to deliver richly coloured and diverse tone. The Koch Studiotone XL Head is capable of 40 Watts of power and has one up on it's smaller 40 Watt counterpart since it can maintain pristine clarity at high volumes. This amp is fitted with EQ controls, a spring reverb and a fistful of outputs around the back. It also comes with a footswitch included.

A Pair of Channels and a Fistful of Outputs

Use the included footswitch to flip from the warm, clean tone of Channel 1, to the coloured, overdriven Channel 2. The Overdrive+ mode (with 3 settings) opens up the amp and pushes the overdrive further. Around the back, the inputs and outputs are a little unusual. There's an an unfiltered output for connection to the clean input of an amp, a second for connection to a return input and a recording output with microphone placement and cabinet simulation.
