Fazley ART-FGH170-S ABS Silver Bb Flugelhorn
Descrizione
Used to play ceremonial fanfares and jazz ensemble solos, the bugle (also known as the flugelhorn) is a brass-band essential. Offering a comfortable, affordable and manageable introduction to this timeless instrument, the Fazley ART-FGH170 bugle has been moulded from ABS, keeping the weight lower than a standard brass model and making it much less sensitive to scratching and denting as well as extreme temperatures. Since plastic valves tend to 'stick' as the instrument warms up, and no matter how much valve oil is applied, the valves and valve housing have been made from metal to ensure a consistently smooth playing feel. The bell of the ART-FGH170 bugle comes finished in silver and fitted with three water keys; has a 153mm bell diameter and an 11.35mm bore, and while it doesn't come including valve oil, it does come with an ABS mouthpiece and a protective soft-case.
Consigli e osservazioni
- Valve oil does not come included with this bugle. To ensure that the valves move smoothly, it is recommended to purchase a bottle of valve oil. Compatible valve oil can be found under the suggested accessories or in the package deals listed below.
- Tip: Loosen the valves a little if the instrument will not be played for a long period of time.

I bought this a few months ago, and I have to say I am delighted with it!
Its affordable price, very attractive appearance, and super-light weight were the features which persuaded me to give it a try. It plays really well! I didn’t realize a plastic instrument could sound so good.
I have just passed my Grade 6 Flugelhorn exam with this instrument!
I upgraded the mouthpiece to a metal one more suited to my embouchure, but even with the standard mouthpiece it sounds great.
It’s very practical to maintain. All the valves are identical, therefore interchangeable, and I have found that by drying it thoroughly after every playing, no valve oil is required.
(PS, I also bought a Fazley plastic trumpet from Bax)
