Op het moment van schrijven heb ik deze ukelele anderhalve maand in bezit.
Bij het zoeken naar een eerste 'uke' werd het me al snel duidelijk dat het loont om een paar euro meer uit de geven dan de laagst geprijsde modellen. Voor een beetje extra heb je een veel betere klank en is de bouwkwaliteit veel beter. Bijv. met betere stemmechanieken. De combinatie van de goede naam die Ohana heeft en het behoorlijk zachte prijsje maakte mij erg nieuwsgierig naar dit model. Een review van "GotaUkelele" op youtube over dit model trok mij over de streep. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DsTIjM01vmM)
Het geluid is vol en warm. Als je met plectrum speelt komt er meer geluid uit dan je zou verwachten bij zo'n klein klankkastje. Speel je zonder plectrum, dan is het precies genoeg om een ontbijtje op bed voor je liefste te begeleiden :)
Een instrument waar je blij van wordt en dat uitnodigt om te bespelen. Door het formaat is het ook nog eens een prima reisgenoot als een gitaar te veel ruimte in neemt.
