The previously rare beast that is the guitarlele is ultimately designed for guitarists who want that brighter ukulele sound but in that familiar 6-string format. The RGL5CE from the Ortega Bonfire Series is such an accommodating 6-string mahogany-bodied ukulele and is finished with a spruce top and cutaway. The nylon strings are naturally tuned a little higher than a standard guitar and, since this instrument comes with a built-in tuner, is easily kept in check. The RGL5CE is also fitted with one of Ortega's Magusuke preamplifiers complete with tone and volume controls to dial in the amplified sound and, just like its 4-stringed comrades, has an elegant Bonfire laser-engraving on the top, tortoiseshell binding and a satin-gloss finish.
