Scarlatti VL 1/10 violino

Descrizione

The affordable Scarlatti VL 1/10 violin comes complete with a bow and case, and due to the small 1/10 size, has been built with students aged around 4 years old in mind. The body is made entirely from solid wood, where the top plate has been shaped from spruce, and maple has been used for the ribs and back. Besides a set of standard tuning pegs, this violin comes fitted with fine tuners.

1/10-Sized Violins

This 1/10-sized violin will feel most comfortable in arms with an approximate length of 42cm, which is measured from the middle of the palm to the neck, directly below the jaw. The length is important since your hand should be able to curl comfortably around the neck, with the fingers pointing towards the body and the elbow lightly bent. If you're picking between two different sizes and are unsure which will fit, then it's wise to go for the smaller model. While '1/10' implies that this violin is ten times smaller than a full-sized violin, the difference in size is actually much smaller.
