The CC-OT Cripple Creek Banjo
The maple resonator warms up the tone of this banjo, and since it's open-backed, the sound is projected backwards and lightly dampened by your body as you play, to give it a softened, friendly character with plenty of presence and clarity. The pre-installed and high-quality Remo Fiberskyn banjo-skin adds even more warmth and, while its entirely synthetic, provides all the positive features of animal skin. The neck and resonator have both been coated in a vintage brown satin-gloss for a nicely supple playing feel and a satisfying, old-school look.
A Few Extras
To fully get to grips with banjo playing techniques, a DVD of lessons from Bob Carlin has been included in this pack. One of the most renowned clawhammer-style banjo players of all time, you're getting a master class in your own living room. Once your technique is down, and you're all rehearsed, a banjo bag is included to get your instrument safely to the gig, and so you can stand and perform, a banjo strap has also been included.

Stevige banjo, voelt heel degelijk aan. Recht uit de vepakking goed afgesteld en bespeelbaar. Ik heb mijn favoriete Ernie Ball frailing snaren erop gezet en na een tijdje heb ik ook de brug vervangen om de klank helemaal naar wens te krijgen. Maar da's persoonlijke voorkeur.
De tas die erbij zit is ok, en ook de band is eenvoudig maar goed.
Prachtige beginnersbanjo, zeker voor wat die kost. Een aanrader als je clawhammer stijl wil gaan spelen.

The banjo is really nice. I'd say it's a decent banjo, not necessarily a banjo for beginners. I guess some parts need to be changed, like the bridge maybe. But the store in Amsterdam, not so much. The employees are not able to give any recommendations, they seemed lost, overwhelmed and not giving a f*** about you. What was included in the "set" was not the book of Bob Carlin but a link to download the bluegrass primer book, so, unrelated. And of course, I was not able to make the employees of the store aware of that. So I'll give a good review for the banjo itself but I would like to give a bad review for the store and the employees.
