This model combines the playability of a western guitar with the cherished warm tone of a Spanish guitar. The fingerboard features 22 frets, and thanks to the cutaway you can easily reach the highest of them. NTX700C: Solid Cedar

The defining characteristic of an acoustic guitar is the wood that is used to make it, and whether or not it's solid. The NTX700C features a solid cedar top, giving it excellent resonance and high quality with a rich, responsive, powerful sound with a warm, round timbre. The sides, back and neck are fashioned from nato, and the fretboard is made of rosewood. This classical E/A guitar has a relatively slim body, making it comfortable to handle. It also has a much more mature sound right out of the box, thanks to Yamaha's special wood-enhancing technology.

System61 preamp

On board the NTX700C-NT is the ART pickup system for registering your playing. The system is comprised of two pickups (one for low tones, one for high) and a preamplifier. Because the sound is picked up directly from the top of the guitar, the classical sound character is accurately retained. The sound won't be easily distorted either, because the pickups adjust to the dynamics of the instrument. The System61 module has been beautifully worked into the body, and has controls for volume, bass and treble. Additionally, there is a built-in 3-band EQ for shaping the sound. Finally, you'll also have a tuner with LED display at your disposal, so you can keep your guitar sounding pitch-perfect at all times.
