Treated to a handful of modern upgrades, the EVH 5150 Series Standard is based on the famous hockey-stick-headstock-finished, ST-style models that Eddie van Halen played throughout the '80s. This versatile, redesigned classic features a smooth satin-gloss finish on the back of the Modified C-profile maple neck, and comes loaded with double the number of pickups its spiritual ancestor packed.

The 5150 Series Standard: Impacting Sound

Mounted directly onto the lightweight poplar body and featuring Alnico II magnets, the two EVH Wolfgang humbuckers shape a tasty range of double-coil tones, balanced by lush trebles. Next to a volume pot, tone pot and a standard-issue three-way pickup switch, this Standard Series model features a red killswitch that supports cheeky stutter effects, as well as a double-locking Floyd Rose tremolo bridge that can perform extreme dive-bomb effects without fear of falling out of tune. Meanwhile a D-Tuna system has been fitted for quickly flipping into drop-D.
