Robin Trower earned his stripes during the '60s as the guitarist in Procol Harum. It was when he started his solo project the Robin Trower Band, however, that his love affair with Fender Stratocaster's really began. He wrote rock history with the legendary intro on 'Bridge of Sighs'. After four decades of Strat sounds, Fender has now honoured him with his own Artist Signature model from the American Custom Shop. Master builder Todd Krause designed the special pickups together with Trower to give this Strat a special sound to go with its looks. Real Trower power! Like other Custom Shop models, this Trower Signature Strat comes with a luxury case, accessories and a certificate of authenticity.

Custom Shop Artist Robin Trower Stratocaster: Construction

The Trower Strat takes its features from different eras. The 7.25-inch radius of the rounded fretboard is reminiscent of the fifties. A large headstock and bullet style truss rod come straight from the seventies. The true magic can be found in the pickups, however. In the bridge position a Texas Special pickup produces clear tones with enough sharpness for fat rock. To prevent unwanted noise a '60s pickup with reverse polarity is found in the middle position. Humbucker sounds can be produced in the second and fourth positions. Finally, a Custom '54 single-coil pickup in the neck position allows warm blues tones to be produced by this versatile Stratocaster. The Arctic White finish with maple fretboard and abalone dots give this Strat as timeless appearance.
