Part of the AE Series, the Ibanez AE300MWJR has an AE Junior-style body, making it a tad smaller than its siblings and the ideal electro-acoustic guitar for roaming musicians. The compact body combines with an AE profile nyatoh neck for an extra-comfortable playing feel, while the natural high-gloss finish leaves the beauty of the myrtlewood build fully intact. So you can keep the whole thing in good nick on the road, Ibanez even includes a matching gig bag.
The AE300MWJR: Torrified Soundboard
The soundboard isn't just made from solid wood, but from wood that has been torrified so it sounds even richer and shapes even longer sustain, all of which is picked up and amplified in full by the Ibanez Custom Electronics preamp and T-bar undersaddle pickup as soon as the guitar is plugged into an acoustic guitar amplifier.

Erg gave gitaar! Zoals het BAX betaamt meteen de volgende dag in huis. Super mooi afgewerkt! De headstock is niet zwart zoals de foto's doen vermoeden maar heel donker gelakt; je ziet er nog heel subtiel mooi de houtnerven doorheen. Het Amerikaanse Evergreen Myrtle wood ruikt (zoals het erom bekend staat) echt heel lekker. De klank komt gewoon heel erg overeen met (Sitka) Spruce. De tekening van het Myrtle wood is echt heel mooi. De gitaar is echt compact; lekker handzaam. Als ik hem vergelijk met mijn Larrivee OMV50 dan vallen dingen op. Let op, ik vergelijk dan een gitaar van € 699 met een van € 2999. De afwerking is bij beide puntgaaf. Alleen bij een Larrivee bestaat de nek uit 1 stuk en is de dovetail subliem. De stemmechanieken zijn mooi en slim (twee verschillende metalen gebruikt ivm 'wear'.). Wat het torrificatie-proces inhoudt, weet ik niet, maar hij spreekt heel licht aan. Ik vind hem voor zowel finger style als plectrum goed klinken. De binnenzijde is wel wat groffer. Bij de Larrivee is alle bebalking puntgaaf geschaafd; bij de Ibanez is het grover werk. Maar als je prijs dan vergelijkt, heb je met de Ibanez echt veel gitaar voor je geld. Ik moest even wennen aan het kleinere formaat, je hebt iets minder volume, maar het klankbeeld is rijk en het belangrijkste: ik blij er op spelen!
