Recording King ROS-9-FE5-TS Dirty 30s 000 Electro-Acoustic Guitar

Brought a B-stock ROS-9-FE5-TS,
I'm so pleased with it. I've been playing guitar for 35yrs, owed various models including a Gibson Hummingbird, so I can recognise a great guitar. The Recording King has a vintage vibe straight out the box. It feels like a catalogue guitar from the 30's. The neck is chunky (not at all modern) and the guitar feels solid, not like a high-end quality guitar, but not budget either. The fret work is good (no high frets) but a little rough on the edges, which is to be expected at the price point. Tuners are vintage buttons that feel authentic but aren't the best. Guitar action is about right, if a little on the high-sided. Intonation is perfect and the guitar plays evenly across the neck with no fret buzz.
The tone of this instrument is stunning. Very balanced with a cutting but sweet upper mid range. Blues, Folk and classic Country this guitar does in spades. Records beautifully and works well with other instruments. The fishman pre-amp and pick-up work surprisingly well on this guitar. I've never been impressed with piezoelectric pick-ups at the price point. Normally ice pick trebles and wooly bass, with all the middle scooped out. Not the case with recording king, acoustic or plugged in the tone is fantastic. I played better acoustic guitars, but not with as much vibe and swagger the Recording king. I can't put it down, reminds me why I picked up guitar in the first place. Would recommend to any player who wants to recreate the sounds of the Delta blues.
