This electro-acoustic is specifically designed for professional, studio and live use. The Yamaha CPX1000 is finished with a solid top and fitted with pioneering technology that delivers a beautiful, full acoustic and amplified sound. The CPX1000 TBL offers you the exceptional playing characteristics that Yamaha is famous for, and its transparent black finish, white bindings and decorative mother-of-pearl headstock inlays are easy on the eyes. 

CPX1000TBL: Solid Top Medium-Jumbo Model

The CPX1000 has a medium-jumbo sized body with big curves and a slim waist, making it a great guitar for seated playing positions and the cutaway makes the highest of the 20 frets easily reached. You can expect incredibly open and modern sound with powerful lows, rich mids and refined highs thanks to the large body, and because the CPX1000 also has a solid spruce top (which resonates much better than a laminated top) it gives this guitar excellent volume and sustain for lively notes that ring through.

Revamped SRT Modelling Technology

The CPX1000TBL is equipped with Yamaha's advanced Studio Response Technology (SRT) which amplifies the guitar as if an external microphone is pointing at the sound-hole. This means that the acoustic resonance, dynamics and ambiance of the guitar are optimally reproduced by life-like microphone simulations.

Versatile System63 Preamplifier

With the System63 preamplifier of the Yamaha CPX1000, you can choose from three high-quality microphone types: the Neumann U67, Neumann KM56k and the Royer R-122. Then you choose whether you want the microphone to sound as if it's positioned close by or far away with the Focus/Wide button. The Blend knob mixes the signal of the built-in piezo pickup with the SRT microphone simulation, then the acoustic sound of the guitar can be enhanced with the resonance knob, and you can avoid feedback on stage thanks to the Audio Feedback Reduction (AFR) function. Of course, you also have volume control and a 3-band equalizer at your disposal. With all of this, there's still room for a digital tuner with clear LEDs that are visible on the darkest of stages.
