Elixir's 12057 Electric Nickel Plated Steel Nanoweb 7-string Light guitar strings are made of nickel-plated steel and have a Nanoweb coating that ensures they retain their bright sound for longer. This string set for 7-string electric guitars consists of .010 – .013 – .017 – .026 – .036 – .046 – .056 string gauges.
Nanoweb coating
The special Nanoweb coating prevents dust and dirt from getting in between the string windings which is what makes them lose their bright sound. That's exactly why these strings last much longer than other ones.
