The JHS Kodiak: Four Different Rhythmic Feels and Waveforms

Besides a set of trusty volume and mix controls, this true bypass pedal from JHS features another two controls labelled Ratio and Wave. The first lets you select one of four different note values (quarter notes, eighths, triplets and sixteenths), which means that next to the proper tempo, the Kodiak also puts you in control of the rhythmic feel of the tremolo effect. The Wave control provides four waveform options: Sine, Square, Ramp and Rhythmic Wave. Sine brings that well-known waving sound, Square adds a little stutter to the vibrations, and Ramp can be selected when you're looking for a gorging sound. If you're not afraid to experiment with loose and funky rhythms, then you'll definitely want to try out the fourth option that JHS has appropriately titled 'Rhythmic Wave'.
