If you need even more funk in your bass sound, the Ashdown Type 23 Dynamic Filter has got it. This envelope filter in stompbox form gives you direct power over the effect of your playing dynamics via a single Sensitivity pot planted in the centre of the front panel. The higher the sensitivity, the more the pedal functions as an envelope filter, and the more reactive your sound gets to your very touch. Pull the sensitivity back and you get a nice auto-wah effect.

The Ashdown Type 23: Get the Funk

The Type 23 uses three dynamic filters: high, low, and a blended mix of the two. This directly effects the sound your bass produces and can be tweaked further using a single switch that flips between high-band and mid-band, allowing you to vary the filter between tracks and add a broad dynamic variation to your set.
