Tracking op de C4 is geweldig strak. Editting via neuro editor gaat een wereld van mogelijkheden open en je kunt eindeloos sounds en presets creëren. Nadeel je kunt maar 6 presets direct benaderen op de pedal de andere kun je via de editor .
De tracking, soundkwaliteit, edit mogelijkheden en de vele geluiden beschikbaar vind ik geweldig voor basgitaar. Een paar kleine dingen. Er zit geen goede usb kabel bij en de manier van sounds verzenden vanaf je smartphone gaat niet draadloos. Jammer dat de iphone versie van de editor niet de sounds registreert die op de c4 staan. Dus je moet goed onthouden wat waar staat als je een geluid wil vervagen. Ik had met zoveel beschikbare geluiden ook graag meer dan 2 x 3 pre sets gezien. Ook niet handig om live het alt knopje achterop het pedaal in te moeten drukken om de andere bank met drie geluiden te selecteren en het input en output volume te tweaken. Maar ik vind het de sounds en beseebaarheid het resultaat waard! Zou dan toch eindelijk de Akai Deep Impact zn meerdere gevonden hebben?

Pas 1 week in bezit dus echte ervaring komt later nog wel. In eerste instantie indrukwekkend maar vergt wel wat inspanning om goede sounds te krijgen op mijn basgitaar. Veel presets via een app online via een community beschikbaar waar overigens veel presets staan waar ik het nut niet van in zie als je deze in een live situatie zou moeten toepassen. Er zit een USB kabel bij om de C4 op je computer aan te sluiten, in mijn geval een Mac. App installeren en je kan presets selecteren, beluisteren en opslaan.
Om meer dan de 6 presets te kunnen selecteren zal je nog wel even behoorlijk wat euro's moeten neertellen voor een midi-controller.
Tracking is goed maar voor veel sounds moet je op je basgitaar wel een octaaf hoger spelen en dat is niet altijd prettig. Verder wil ik nog een expression pedaal aanschaffen omdat je hiermee zelf te kiezen parameters kan toewijzen. Aansluitkabel zit al in de doos.
Maar goed, ik moet nog een hoop uitvogelen en zal zeker een 2e review plaatsen na een aantal weken.
