The Source Audio Spectrum Intelligent Filter is what happens when you combine 15 years of filter-tech-based experience with the freshest envelope sounds in existence. Funk, psych, and full-on, free experimentation. Even synth-like, distortion and octaver sounds can be shaped with laid-back ease with this stompbox. The birth of the Spectrum Intelligent Filter has been inspired by the most iconic effects pedals ever to offer any self-respecting musician an outlet for that sound they've had in their heads for year - no matter what instrument they play. Four control pots are provided to set the speed, depth, frequency, and effect intensity while the aptly named 'Dumpling' switch flips the effect between 'Tron' to 'Thrust' mode. This pedal comes pre-loaded with six carefully curated factory presets that can be swapped out using the Neuro app which offers an extensive, mouth-watering library of further presets that you could spend days browsing.

After much research I decided on the Spectrum as my filter for bass.I considered the C4 synth pedal as it can handle all of the Spectrum's sounds plus the synth functions but in the end, I really only wanted a filter and there's something to be said for keeping things simple.
So far I have only tried the 6 onboard filters. The sound is wonderful and I imagine I will settle on one filter sound plus the excellent octave effect which is in the "Thrust" function.
Of course, the pedal can be modified with the App so I am aware that the possibilities are endless. I wanted a filter. I have a filter so I'm happy, but maybe one rainy afternoon I'll see what else it can do.
