The Remo ES-0612PS Ebony Pinstripe is a black, 12" 2-ply drumhead that's suitable for your tom or snare. Its dynamic range is a little less extensive than that of a Remo Emperor or Remo Ambassador drumhead, but its sound is incredibly rich and defined, making it ideal for music styles like funk, R&B, rock and heavy metal.

Een klassieker, de Remo Pinstripe. Dit dubbellaagsvel klinkt vooral 'vet' en is dan ook erg geschikt voor (heavy)rock en dergelijke muziek. Vel gaat lang mee en kan zonder problemen laag gestemd worden. Er zit een stevige attack in. Als je een lange toon wilt moet je een ander vel kiezen (Remo Emperor bijvoorbeeld).
Ik weet niet of het echt zo is, kan ook gevoelsmatig zijn maar ze lijken ten opzichte van de (gewone Pinstripe) clear vellen wat 'darker' te klinken.
