Meinl's world-renowned Byzance series consists of professional cymbals in all shapes and sizes. Amongst its many different crash cymbals, you'll find the B18TC-B Brilliant Thin Crash. This 18-inch version is the largest Brilliant Thin Crash model available, and like every other Byzance cymbal, it was hand-crafted to achieve the optimal sound, giving it its own unique characteristics.

This thin cymbal has a relatively dark, low-pitched sound. Thanks to the brilliant finish, however, it does have some bright, shimmering overtones, and its brilliant finish ensures that the silky, washy sound doesn't overstay its welcome. The B18TC-B responds very quickly to your sticks, and you won't need to use a lot of force to produce the desired crash effect. It's a highly versatile cymbal that is especially well suited for use in jazz and fusion music.
