The Zildjian Company's secret cymbal alloy has been in the family since way back in 1623, and has been passed on from generation to generation. The A Custom series gets its name from the founder of this family business - Avedis I - who got the Zildjian name from the sultan in Constantinople, and the series has been designed in collaboration with renowned drummer Vinnie Colaiuta.
