Believe it or not, not all vintage synths come from Japan and the United States. Europe, too, saw many successful developers pop up during the 20th century, with RSF being one of the French representatives. While the RSF Kobol series synths didn't go down in history with the same reputation as various Moogs, Yamahas and Rolands, none other than Jean Michel Jarre as well as other high-profile users have played around with Kobols. Based on the RSF PolyKobol 2, the XILS Lab PolyKB III is a virtual synth that gives you a solid stack of sounds, options and filters. Not only that, everything from PolyKB II comes thrown in as well!

Time to get down to the nitty gritty. XILS Lab PolyKB III offers extensive morphing oscillators, envelopes, LFOs, an arpeggiator, a sequencer, filters, effects and more, with the best part being the vastly extensive modulation matrix used to tweak sounds from any and all directions. XILS, (not entirely) coincidentally a French company, have called the PolyKB the best virtual analogue poly-synth ever made. Let's just say that if you already own a handful of Moogs, Jupiters and CS80s, you're still missing out.
