The Telecaster is where it all started for Fender in the fifties. The Vintage Hot Rod series contains several Telecasters that have been fitted with characteristic vintage components, but that have also been adapted to offer huge playing comfort to the guitarists of today. Besides that, this honey-coloured solid body is truly a sight to behold. The Butterscotch Blonde finish is legendary, and this American Fender adds a duo of gorgeous pickups. Vintage Hot Rod 50s Telecaster

The body of this Tele is made of dense ash, which is a hard type of wood with excellent resonance and a direct tone. Additionally, the people at the American Fender factory are very particular about choosing the parts of wood for this series of guitars (among others). Its body has a classic nitrocellulose lacquer finish. Just a thin layer is enough for a hefty gloss, without reducing the resonance. The neck is made of maple, and so is the fretboard. This guitar has 21 narrow jumbo-type (6105) frets.

Pickups

For the Vintage Hot Rod series, this '50s Telecaster is equipped with a Custom Shop Broadcaster single coil (bridge) and a Fender Wide Range humbucker (neck). The Broadcaster is a hot pickup that warrants a bright sound and the Wide Range humbucker in the neck position ensures a warm, full tone that can be used in virtually any type of music. This guitar features a 4-way pickup switch. The fourth position arranges the Broadcaster and humbucker in series, resulting in an 'and-and' sound: the fat tones of the humbucker with the clear ones of the Broadcaster. This Hot Rod '50s Tele comes with a tweed case.
