The ZeRO SL MK II is a complete DAW and plug-in MIDI controller for studio and stage applications. The ZeRO SL MK II can provide you with information about all of your settings at once, as it is equipped with a display with 144 characters, illuminated buttons and LED rings around the rotary knobs. The Novation ZeRO SL MKII is also fit for DJs as it has a cross fader.
The ZeRO SL MK II is unique because it allows you to put all controllers into one folder and you can activate them with just one press of a button. Automap 3 pro ensures that the connection between the software and the ZeRO SL MK II remains fast and smooth. No more digging into the various functions and settings of all your MIDI control channels. Automap 3 pro shows you which controller is assigned to which button, fader or rotary knob.
The ZeRO SL MK II also has Nocturn's Speed dial function. With speed dial, functions of your VST, VSTi or DAW are assigned to the controller if you place your mouse on the preferred plug-in.
In order to complete the picture, the Novation ZeRO SL MK II comes with a complete producing pack that consists of: Ableton Live 7 Lite, Novation Bass-station VSTi, 500 MB drum loops by Mike the drummer and a Loopmasters sample library of more than 1 GB.

Bax-Shop heeft mij uitgebreid geadviseerd welk apparaat het meest geschikt is op aangifte van mijn doeleinden. Samen hebben we talloze controllers vergeleken die het best passen bij mijn doeleinden. Zo zijn we zijn tot de conclusie gekomen dat ZeRo SL MK II het beste scoort. Had dit artikel zelf al op het oog met een aantal concurrenten qua mogelijkheden.
Vandaag besteld, de verwachtingen zijn hooggespannen en tot nu dikke ++ voor Bax-Shop.
Très pratique, surtout pour le live, on peut quand même contrôler la plupart des plugin et instruments (mais pas tous) par contre les faders n'étant pas motorisés c'est a oublier pour le mixage. L'ensemble semble assez costaud mais les pads ne sont vraiment pas terrible.
+: contruction, rapport qualité/prix, automap, taillé pour le live.
-: automap (on s'approche du parfait mais tous ne marche pas) faders non motorisés.

Prachtig toestel, snel alle functies bij de hand, mooi overzichtelijk en het ziet er ook goed uit op je desk!
Ik gebruik het met Ableton live, echt een aanrader!
Ook zoals gewend een perfecte levering door Bax, ik had de service om de zelfde dag nog te leveren eens geprobeerd, 's middags tijdens de pauze op werk besteld en 's avonds al aan de slag, schitterend! Hoe doen ze het toch?
super toestel ben er 4 uur mee bezig , het is eventjes zoeken maar eens je de instelling ervan door hebt dikke fun

Te gebruiken met zowel hardware als software (DAW,EU, VST) aansturing.
Het grote gebruiksgemak zit in de Automap software die je gratis van de Novation site kunt downloaden. Deze gebruikersvriendelijke flexibele tool neemt alle vervelende controller toewijzingen voor je uit handen. Automap zorgt er zelf voor dat de juiste controller instellingen worden toegepast, iedere keer als je een andere VST of mixer actie kiest. de Sl2/Automap wordt in Logic Pro X en Ableton direct herkent als je de installatie gewoon volgt.
Het grootste voordeel van de Zero SL MK2 voor mij; je hoeft niet meer naar je computerscherm te kijken bij het muziek maken. Mijn laptop staat naast me in de kast uit het zicht, de Zero SL Mk2 staat voor me. Ik kan me nu dus puur focussen op het muziek maken en het geluid wat ik hoor.
De endless rotary knoppen voelen prettig aan, ze draaien soepel. De overige 8 knoppen draaien stroever. De faders voelen wat gammel aan, de drum pads moet je relatief hard op tikken om te drummen. De SL zelf is van hard plastc en voelt goedkoop aan, toch voldoende kwaliteit.
Bij licht aanraken van de knoppen verschijnt in de display welke funktie er aan de knop is toegekend.
advies: koop er een goede sustain en expressie pedaal bij. Bijv: EHX Expression. Met het sustain pedaal kun je in opname modus, de opname handsfree starten en stoppen. Voor VST's bijv een effect aan/uit zetten. De expresie pedaal kun je aan allerlei controllers toekennen.
handige feature: aan knoppen kun je een keyboard commando toevoegen. bijv: undo/redo, track toevoegen, cycle enz.
