Katana Gen 3: Even Better Sound, Response and Feel
Featuring updated Tube Logic technology, the Katana Gen 3 amps offer even more authentic tube-style sound than their predecessors. What's more, besides classic sounds like the Brown Sound, you're treated to the new Pushed Amp sound, which has a tasty, lightly overdriven clean character and life-packed dynamics, none of which are lost when you need to dial down the output capacity via the built-in Power Control attenuator.
More Effects & Improved BOSS Tone Studio App
The new Katanas also allow you to run up to five effects at the same time, giving you the pick of three flavours per effect slot for a total of fifteen unique effects, ranging from boosters and delays to reverbs and modulation effects. Fire up the BOSS Tone Studio app, and you get access to another 45 effects, all of which can be fine-tuned as needed. The companion app has even been given a fresh lick of paint in the form a new user-interface, making it super-intuitive to work with, and of course, it can still be used to share and download third-party guitar sounds.

The Katana Gen 3 and Katana Artist Gen 3 amps aren't just fully prepped for gigging, rehearsing and practising, but can also be used to record since they can be directly connected to a computer or mobile device via the fitted USB port. Add the Bluetooth Audio MIDI Dual Adapter (not included) to ease editing and gain the option to stream music, or hook up your preamps, modelling gear or multi-FX processor via the Power Amp input.
