Descrizione
Wanting to treat six-string bassists to a high-quality yet affordable model, Ibanez presents the Premium Soundgear Series SR1426B. The basis of the build is a warm-sounding body made from African mahogany, which has not only been spruced up with a tight paint-job, but a flamed maple top. Great playing comfort is guaranteed by a relatively flat 15.75-inch fretboard radius and Atlas-6 neck profile, where the five-piece neck is made from panga-panga and purpleheart and comes reinforced with KTS Titanium rods for maximum stability.
The Ibanez SR1426B: Custom Electronics for Active and Passive Sound
So the core sound of the SR1426B is amplified in full and given maximum definition, Ibanez has opted for two Big Break soapbar pickups by Nordstrand. These single-coils feature tilted pole pieces for P-style sound that can be flexibly tweaked via the 3-band EQ of the Custom Electronics preamp, which even kits you out with an EQ bypass switch so you can switch from active to passive sound at will or as needed.
