From their Floatune Woodcraft Series, Meinl serve up this incredibly high-quality djembe. The 12-inch DJW3ZFA-M has a natural goatskin head and a two-layer American ash drum to shape warm sound. Also, since this djembe is mounted with the highly innovative Floatune system, not one hole has been drilled into the wood, giving it the space it needs to resonate with more depth, while making tuning and changing the head a suddenly quick and simple task.

Even the solid, 8mm tension rods and comfortably rounded S.S.R. rim, have been made using the best materials available and, since design of the Floatune system means the rods are fitted to a hoop further down the bulge of the drum rather than bolted to its sides, optimum tension is distributed across the head and the drum itself can fully resonate.
