Tuned to the traditional Kurdish scale and developed in Russia, the RAV Vast B Kurd tongue drum has a hefty 20-inch diameter, 7-inch depth and weighs 5.9kg. This rhythmic, tuned percussion instrument has been shaped using 2mm-thick steel and offers the following notes: B2, F#3, G3, A3, B3, C#4, D4, E4, F#4, and A4. Those in the know are likely to notice similarities to the tuning of the B Celtic tongue drum, but the all-important difference here lies in the extra semi-tone where an F#3 follows the G3, giving this instrument a different character entirely and presenting a different set of possibilities. It also means that this instrument has been built for more experienced tuned-percussionists. Thought I had bought a brand new Rav Vast 2 but it's 1st generation plus looks used especially the cork on the bottom.

Thought I had purchased a brand new Rav Vast 2 but it's 1st generation and also looks used especially by the cork on the bottom.Tried to call to complain but refuse to answer the phone. Bit bad when I am physically unwell and unable to return because of the weight and the drum will not fit in car. Be careful what you purchase as photo in discription shows a Rav Vast 2.
